Welcome to edtec Schools

This is the home page for the direct-managed schools for edtec central, LLC. From high-quality educational programs during school hours to dynamic, innovative after school programming, we serve a wide variety of students in the Detroit Metropolitan area.  Our students range from Kindergarten to 12th grade; and the schools range from strict-discipline environments to foreign language immersion to virtual learning environments.  What makes edtec schools unique is the diversity of the students we educate.  We strive to provide equitable, innovative, high-quality educational opportunities for each and every student, and we feel that the success and diversity of our student population proves that we are achieving that goal.
We invite you to explore the site to learn more about our schools. If you are interested in the other services that edtec central can provide, please click on the "Corporate Office" tab above or visit

Team edtec takes the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Recently, edtec Central issued a challenge to all its employees to participate in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness and funds for ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Schlerosis) also known as Lou Gherig's Disease. Representatives from ACE Academy, Capstone Academy, edtec central office, and Life Skills Center of Pontiac participated in the challenge on Friday, August 22nd. Our President and CEO, Anna Amato, was called out by Dean Bach, ACE Academy Treasurer and owner of Dino's and the new M-Brew, both in Ferndale. The brave participants included Anna Amato, Keisha Palmer (and husband), Kia Holmes, Rosetta Chapman, Monica Martin, Jennifer Acree, Barb Criqui, Cathy Nowosatko, Amy Cole, Jill Faulkner, Stephanie Bilbey, and LaTonya Lewis. Together our team raised $1330 for ALS research. Great job team!

ACE Academy Woodward Community Site
ACE Academy is excited to announce the opening of our expansion site, the ACE Woodward Center. This expansion brings an opportunity for our current students at ACE Academy to continue their education with the school once they are released from the treatment program at the Lincoln or Calumet centers. Due to inclement weather, the date of the event is TBD. Check back at our website for the updated time and date.  READ MORE...
